This is really yummy and the kids love it. I make this whenever I have too many uneaten bananas.
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
a dash of salt
1/2 cup apple sauce
1 cup mashed bananas
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
Grease a bread pan and heat oven to 350 degrees F
Wisk together dry ingredients in one bowl
Combine wet ingredients in another bowl
Add wet mixture to dry mixture
Stir lightly and pour into bread pan
Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Enjoy!

Julianne HI!! Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
I am following one of your other blogs and am now following this one too. I LOVE getting recipes, I collect them!
I read your bio and noticed you are from Cleveland! I lived there 35 yrs before moving to Michigan in 2001....I knew some Gentiles when I was growing up in S.Euclid...(but I lived in other places as well)
So happy to meet you!

How fun! There are lots of Gentile's, but most of my husband's family is from the West side. The east side Gentile's are probably not related, but it's a large, Italian family, so anything is possible. :)
Recipe of the Day was part of a larger website that I ran for years, and shut down just recently. I didn't want the domain to go to squatters and I didn't yet have a place to put my recipes, so they are in limbo, while I decide what to do going forward.
I love collecting and sharing recipes, so I'm sure I'll blog again, just without the pressure of a daily.
